Make talking about our journeys normal, accepted and encouraged.

Through authentic connection, storytelling, and practical resources, we work to dismantle the culture of isolation that too often exists within emergency services.

Our mission

Simple.

End first responder suicides by influencing meaningful improvements in our mental health.

The Challenging part?

Replacing a culture of isolation with one of connection, trust, and real human relationships.

How do we accomplish our Mission?

1. Community Engagement

We actively share the WE SEE YOU mission through in-person ‘go’ missions, informal coffee connections, and online training forums

2. Storytelling & Lived Experience Platforming: The WE SEE YOU Podcast

We amplify the voices of first responders who have navigated mental health challenges and found tools and strategies that helped them recover and grow, as well as subject matter experts to share practical advice.

3. Resource Development

Creation and curation of accessible tools, guides, and referral pathways that support individuals, peer leaders, and families.

Your support fuels progress and brings hope where it's needed most.

Our Story

Our founder, Russ Reimer, was ‘there’. At the end and willing to take his own life.

What stopped him? The concern that other first responders would have to find his body, and the impact it would have on them.

This work began with heartbreak. After losing one of his own department brothers to suicide, Russ was forced to confront a painful truth. The conversations were there. The camaraderie was there. He was kind. He was engaged. He was one of them. But beneath the surface, he was struggling alone.

One question remains: did anyone truly see him?
